The Unique Maps Co. Queen's Jubilee Mug (Limited Edition)

Behold! My special edition Jubilee Mug.

To celebrate the Queen's 70th year on the throne, we have produced a fascinating mug that shows Buckingham Palace in 1746 on one side, and 1830 on the other.

This mug is only available for a limited time, and it cannot be purchased separately: it's a free gift for customers spending over £200 at The Unique Maps Co.

On one side of the mug is Buckingham House (as it was known then!) from John Rocque's seminal 1746 map of London. Perhaps the finest (and most famous) map of London ever made, you can see that the roads and grounds around the house were far less developed than they are today.

The other side of the mug shows Buckingham Palace in 1830, from Greenwood & Co's gorgeous handcoloured map of London. By 1830, the house had been extended into a palace by George IV and John Nash. And of course you can see that Westminster to the south of the palace is no longer fields but rather built up.

All in all, a very attractive mug. (And if you want me to make a custom or personalised mug for you, just get in touch.)

This ceramic mug is 10cm (3.8in) tall and holds 300ml (11oz) of your favourite hot beverage. (We have it on good authority that the Queen drinks her tea from a mug just like this one!)

The mug is dishwasher and microwave safe, and you can choose from a few different colours for the inside of the mug and the handle.
