The artist behind many railway posters of this period often worked within studio teams attached to the rail companies or their advertising agents, producing language-specific editions for international audiences. While the signature here is lost to history, the hand is unmistakably professional: crisp, travel-ready typography, a clear hierarchy of information, and a romanticized yet accurate glimpse of place. In 1903, Dutch rail operators were actively courting leisure travelers, and posters like this would have appeared in continental stations and waiting rooms, in guide offices, and in the windows of travel bureaus serving Paris and Brussels.

My frames are glazed with super-clear museum-grade acrylic (perspex/acrylite), which is significantly less reflective than glass, safer, and will always arrive in perfect condition.
