Well, it's not every day you get to say you've been on the UK's biggest television channel!
On February 25th, one of my maps was featured on BBC One, in the first scene of "Bargain Hunt" Series 60, Detling 20.
Presenter Eric Knowles has the map in front of him, and then points to the coastline of northern Kent where the American transatlantic ship Northern Belle ran aground.
The map, in case you're wondering, is Southeast England by Christopher Saxton, originally published in 1575.
More maps from The Unique Maps Co. will be featured on TV this year on the BBC and Channel 4, including one very interesting show that will be hosted by Stephen Fry - a man that, I'm sure, is just as interested in old maps as I am.
Stay tuned for more updates!
